Scripture Lessons~1
On this page are several lessons that I have taught in scripture form. Some of the lessons are scriptures that I studied in learning how to use Gods Spiritual Gifts, that He has freely given to me and all "Born Again" believers in Jesus Christ. The first step that we have to do is just acknowledge that we have them. Then be patient and realize that this will take some time and effort. Always studying the word of God, you will learn His word as time goes by. Then the gifts in us will begin to work through us. Then you will use them on the body of Christ-The Church-The believers and followers of Jesus.

2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faith, Belief and Unbelief
Matthew 17:14-21 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” 17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

When we first became born again Christians, we received the measure of faith but most Christians never understand that you have to nurture your faith from glory to glory, line upon line and precept upon precept for it to grow. In most cases this takes years because you've got to learn the word of God and this takes time. Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Galatians 2:16 & 20 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

If you are a Christian and you’re not receiving the kind of results that the Bible teaches to us, it might just be our unbelief. Unbelief mixed with faith will never bring you success.

Believe That This is the Works of God!
John 10:37-38 If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”
Jesus drew large crowds to Himself because of the Healing, Deliverance and that raising from the dead power within Him, from God. These miracles drew people to Jesus. I have heard some people say that if a man commands healing to come forth as he is praying for someone in need, that this is of the devil-that satan can also heal. Well then ask them to prove that but they cannot. When I first started talking in tongues people told me (including a pastor) that this was of the devil. I showed them this scripture in 1 Corinthians 14:39 Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. They walked away not saying another word. I also said that Jesus gave all Christians a command to Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give, Matthew 10:8. Jesus told man this, not devils. Jesus got the same treatment from people while He was on this earth. You will also get treated the same way as you grow in your Christian walk.
Do Not Neglect Salvation
Hebrews 2:3-4 How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?
Mark 16:15-20 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
Did you notice that Jesus was still working with all of His Apostles after He ascended into Heaven with signs and wonders. Jesus is still doing this today with all Christians that will work in the way that He instructs us to work in His word. Jesus is still working with all who will believe just as He says in Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. This means Jesus has not changed at all and never will. We are the ones that have changed and the church is almost exactly as the world is today. That's why signs and wonders are not happening at all or not very often like they should in most churches. The church has become complacent.

John 21:24-25 This is the disciple who testifies of these things and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen

Note: The Greek word “Sozo” pronounced Sode’-zo Translated as heal or healed, to make or made whole, salvation, saved or to save, delivered. Scriptural Examples:
Matthew 9:20-21 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.” Mark 5:25-28 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour. Mark 5:34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
James 5:14-15 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. = SOZO
2 Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered = SOZO Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved. = SOZO Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Matthew 8:14-15 Peters Mother in law healed = SOZO Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them. Matthew 8:16-17 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah in Isaiah 53:4 the prophet, saying: “ He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” = SOZO
Speaking In Tongues
Jude 1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, (That's Speaking In Tongues).
God gave all Christians the Gifts of the Spirit when we were born again. Some are stronger than others in the body of Christ-The True Church.

Spiritual Gifts: Unity in Diversity in One Body
1 Corinthians 12:1-14 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: 2 You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. 4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.
1 Corinthians 14:1-3, 18-20, 27-28, 33 & 39 Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. 2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 18-20, I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all; 19 yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue. 20 Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature. 27-28, If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. 28 But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God. 33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. 39 Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.
Jesus tells us not to forbid anyone for speaking in tongues. Then why does the church not teach this. In most cases I've witnessed the church speaking against speaking in tongues. They teach the opposite of whats in the word of God in many lessons and ways of the Lord Jesus. I've witnessed in my lifetime, that the devil has been in control of most of the church. There sure is a lot of evidence of this today just as it was in the days of Jesus.
I was not raised in a church denomination that taught speaking in tongues. Most pastors would read these scriptures sometimes but never spoke about this. Once I acknowledged that I had this gift after I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, I started using this gift. I soon learned that when you start laying your hands on people and commanding healing, deliverance, miracles or just praying for them, that demonic forces would come up against me in strong numbers sometimes that would hinder my thoughts and speech (blocker demons). Please understand this, that the devil doesn’t want anyone healed and be free of him. He will do anything that he can to hinder your healing and deliverance process. I learned to speak in tongues when this happens, thus allowing my thoughts and speech process to clear up immediately. I am strengthened, thus allowing the power of God to flow more freely.

Soul vs. Spirit
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Read the following scriptures. The Bible tells us that the soul is the part of you that you received in you mothers whom.
Soul Example
When you react to bad feelings, you feel pain, bitterness, shame, depression, anger, sadness etc. This is you’re soul. The Flesh.
Spirit Example
You receive the spirit only when you’re Born Again and there becomes a fine line between you’re soul and spirit. Your Spirit is protected and cannot be penetrated. God only sees us in the Spirit and sees us as perfect. This happened under the atonement of Jesus Christ, about two thousand years ago. Look at the scriptures. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The Promise Granted Through Faith
Romans 4:13-25 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, 15 because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression. 16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all 17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” 19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 1:3-6 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Speak Faith out and know what you have! You don’t have a faith problem; you have a knowledge problem. In order to see your faith work, you need to understand and acknowledge what you have. The Apostle Paul Prayed in Philemon 1:6 that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
God provided us Grace for free and as believers it is our responsibility to receive this gift by Faith. It is just this simple. Gods part is Grace and our part if Faith. God is so awesome! He made this so easy for all of us.

Position to Receive from God
This will place you in a "Position to Receive". God has already done everything to heal everyone. You must believe this always. Think about the scripture below and how this is past tense. It’s already happened for everyone on this earth and for all believers that will ever be on this earth. All anyone has to do is just receive this. 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
It's not a matter of asking the Lord to heal, but rather our receiving the healing. God has already given healing to us. That's the basic principle, but there are laws that govern how this works. You have to acknowledge it by speaking it. So I talk to the specific parts of people's bodies and command them to respond and adhere to the Word of God. I take authority over the devil (this shows you the demonic presence in sickness or disease).
Sometimes I do things to strengthen the other person's faith or belief. I don't do all of these things to manipulate God but to help people move into a position to receive. While ministering to other people, there are things you can do that will strengthen their belief. Sometimes I discern unbelief while praying for someone. It may not be evil or disbelief, but maybe this person is just dominated by natural things. If they’re having a hard time receiving healing from God, I’ll just push over into a gift of the spirit. Then, using a word of wisdom or a word knowledge, I’ll talk to them about something emotional and perhaps about how they’ve been hurt in the past. Maybe depression, grief, or tragedy had struck. So I will use this gift of the Spirit to speak to them on something totally unrelated to their physical healing. Then they start receiving, saying in their heart that “there’s no way he could have known this and God is speaking to me through this man”. All at once they open their self up and their faith starts flowing. Once their faith is strengthened, their heart says, yes, this is God. Father I receive all that you have for me.

Jesus Healed All
Remember the Greek word "SOZO"
John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Matthew 4:23-24 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

Matthew 8:16-17
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” Matthew 9:35-38 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Matthew 12:15 But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all. Matthew 14:14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. Matthew 14:34-36 When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret. And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into all that surrounding region, brought to Him all who were sick, and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well. Matthew 15:30-31 Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them. So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel. Matthew 19:2 And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there. Matthew 21:14 Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. James 1:5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

I used these scriptures to teach that most of the ministry of Jesus Christ while on this earth was healing all people that He came in contact with that wanted it. Not just some people, but all who wanted healing. Many churches today and for the last several decades have been teaching that Divine healing doesn’t happen today, that somehow this stopped happening when all of the Apostles died. This is not scriptural. This is a lie of the devil and most Christians have bought right into this lie. I personally know that this is a lie because I have seen thousands of people healed and set free from the devil. Signs, Wonders and Miracles follow me everyday. If you’re not getting this kind of results you should study the Word of God and learn the truths that I have learned. There is nothing hard about this. All that you have to do is take the time each day to get into Gods Word. Ask God for the revelations of His Word and He will give it to you over and over again.
William
Look at the scripture below in John 14:12. Jesus is telling all believers that we are going to do greater works than He did while on this earth.
Well what did Jesus do while He was on this earth? In Acts 10:38, God said that Jesus healed all that were oppressed by the devil. Not just some but all! Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. How do you miss this? I put these two scriptures in this lesson twice so that you would not miss this. Did someone help you miss this, or do you only believe what you choose to believe?
Spiritual Wisdom
1 Corinthians 2:6-16 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
Keep Gods Will For You & In You
Nobody can accidentally find Gods will for their life. He created us to worship Him. 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. God also tells us His will for us in 1 Peter 2:15-16 (AMP) For it is God’s will and intention that by doing right [your good and honest lives] should silence (muzzle, gag) the ignorant charges and ill-informed criticisms of foolish persons. 16 [Live] as free people, [yet] without employing your freedom as a pretext for wickedness; but [live at all times] as servants of God.
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
We get to pick what we conform to. God gave us free will. If you don’t renew your mind the devil will have his way with you. You must get into Gods Word to renew you mind, line by line, precept by precept. If your getting beat up by the devil, then you have not renewed your mind. This is a lifetime effort. Your reasonable service. If you know the truth (the word of God) it will set you free.
Romans 8:28-30 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Romans 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Note: God never takes this back. His call on your life is still the same as before. 1 John 2:20 (AMP) But you have been anointed by [you hold a sacred appointment from, you have been given an unction (special anointing) from] the Holy One, and you all know [the Truth] or you know all things.
Colossians 3:10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him. John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Romans 8:6-7 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
Hebrews 11:5-12 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. 8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.
Luke 6:37-38 (The wisdom of God vs. the wisdom of the world) “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.
Isaiah 28:11-12 For with stammering lips and another tongue. He will speak to this people, To whom He said, “This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest,” And, “This is the refreshing”; Yet they would not hear. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. John 4:24 God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).
Hebrews 4:12 (AMP) For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
Strengthen the Presence of the Holy Spirit in Your Life
God gave us the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost; how ever you want to say it. (Acts 1:1-8). They are one in the same and is an awesome gift from God. The Holy Spirit is like all of your Spiritual Gifts. If you don’t acknowledge that you have them, they will never come alive for you the way that God intended. You must know that they are all there inside of you but you have to stir them up to make them work properly. They will all just lay there dormant inside of you if you don’t act. I am just going to concentrate on the Holy Spirit for now. The gifts of the Spirit will be a topic for another time. I just wanted to show you the importance of acknowledging all that God has for us. God desires so much to manifest Himself in our lives but most people are waiting for God to make the first move. Could it be that God is waiting for you? Quit waiting for Him to make that move and start praising Him and worshiping Him today. Then you will witness God in a way that you never have. Lean into God. Submit to God. This will change you forever.
James 2:17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Luke 11:9-13 So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
Acts 1:1-8 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. 4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Hebrews 13:5 For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” God wants us to make a move towards Him. It says in John 4:24 God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and truth.
Speaking in tongues is worshiping God in Spirit. Praising Him is worshiping God in Spirit. Praying to Him in a proper way like the guide lines that the Lord’s prayer gives to us is worshiping God in Spirit. I said this like this to make you aware that God does want you to ask for things in prayer but to not whine about it like many people do. The only thing that this kind of prayer will get you is frustration. People are always asking God to do something but will not worship Him properly. When we praise God, speak in tongues or use proper prayer towards Him, this will strengthen the Holy Spirit in and around us. This excites the Holy Spirit and then you can feel God moving in you and around you. Look at the following scriptures that will support what I am telling you.
Jude 1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, (You know-Speaking In Tongues). Romans 8:26 (AMP) So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. (You know-Speaking In Tongues) Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
Thanking God and remembering all of the good things that God has done for us stirs up the Holy Spirit. This is a kind of praise that God loves.
Psalm 22:3-5 (AMP) But You are holy, O You Who dwell in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered]. Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted (leaned on, relied on You, and were confident) and You delivered them. They cried to You and were delivered; they trusted in, leaned on, and confidently relied on You, and were not ashamed or confounded or disappointed. 2 Chronicles 20:7 Are You not our God, who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever?

Below are just a few of the many praise scriptures in the Bible that God loves. Speaking these scriptures will stir up the Holy Spirit.
1 Chronicles 29:13 “Now therefore, our God, We thank You And praise Your glorious name. 2 Chronicles 20:22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

Psalm 7:17 I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High. Psalm 9:1-2 I WILL praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth (recount and tell aloud) all Your marvelous works and wonderful deeds! I will rejoice in You and be in high spirits; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High! Psalm 18:3 I will call upon the Lord, Who is to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. Psalm 21:13 Be exalted, Lord, in Your strength; we will sing and praise Your power. Psalm 22:22 I will declare Your name to my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise You. Psalm 22:26 (AMP) The poor and afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; they shall praise the Lord--they who [diligently] seek for, inquire of and for Him, and require Him [as their greatest need]. May your hearts be quickened now and forever!
Psalm 30:12 To the end that my tongue and my heart and everything glorious within me may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Psalm 35:27-28 Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” 28 And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness And of Your praise all the day long.
Psalm 40:3 And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord. Psalm 44:08 (AMP) In God we have made our boast all the day long, and we will give thanks to Your name forever. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! Psalm 45:17 I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the people praise and give You thanks forever and ever. Psalm 47:6-7 Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises in a skillful psalm and with understanding. Psalm 61:8 So will I sing praise to Your name forever, paying my vows day by day. Psalm 67:3 (AMP) Let the peoples praise You [turn away from their idols] and give thanks to You, O God; let all the peoples praise and give thanks to You. Psalm 69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. Psalm 86:12 (AMP) I will confess and praise You, O Lord my God, with my whole (united) heart; and I will glorify Your name forevermore.

Psalm 118:18-21 (AMP) The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over to death. Open to me the [temple] gates of righteousness; I will enter through them, and I will confess and praise the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord; the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall enter through it. I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You, for You have heard and answered me; and You have become my Salvation and Deliverer. Psalm 118:28-29 You are my God, and I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You; You are my God, I will extol You. O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.
Psalm 135:1-3 PRAISE THE Lord! (Hallelujah!) Praise the name of the Lord; praise Him, O you servants of the Lord! You who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God, Praise the Lord! For the Lord is good; sing praises to His name, for He is gracious and lovely! Psalm 145:10 (AMP) All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your loving ones shall bless You [affectionately and gratefully shall Your saints confess and praise You]! Psalm 146:2 While I live will I praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have any being. Psalm 149:3 (AMP) Let them praise His name in chorus and choir and with the [single or group] dance; let them sing praises to Him with the tambourine and lyre!

Psalm 150:1-6 (AMP) PRAISE THE Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the heavens of His power! Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to the abundance of His greatness! Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him with lute and harp! Praise Him with tambourine and [single or group] dance; praise Him with stringed and wind instruments or flutes! Praise Him with resounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) Romans 15:11 And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise Him!
I tell you that repeating out loud these Scriptures of Praise will excite the Holy Spirit and He will move in your life. Keep doing this often and keep the Faith.

Traveling in the Spirit
Traveling in the Spirit is something that most Christians have never heard of or even thought about because they were never taught this. To learn anything from God takes time and it is always a progression. It takes getting into the Word of God (The Bible). You must read it, study it, meditate on it and then ask Him to give you a Revelation of His Word. God will always do this for you.
Traveling in the Spirit can result in being physically or spiritually transported. There are several instances of this in the Bible. Read the scriptures below from the New King James Version.
Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Hebrews 11:5-6 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Moses visited Heaven and saw the pattern of the temple and all the instruments of the temple so that he could describe it to the last detail and it could be built.

Exodus 25:9 According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it. Acts 7:44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as He appointed, instructing Moses to make it according to the pattern that he had seen.
Elijah had a reputation of appearing and disappearing. He was traveling in the Spirit.
1 Kings 18:12 And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the LORD will carry you to a place I do not know; so when I go and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he will kill me. But I your servant have feared the LORD from my youth. Elijah was carried into Heaven in a whirlwind as a chariot of fire separated Elijah and Elisha. 2 Kings 2:11 Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Ezekiel was carried by the Spirit to the River of Chebar.
Ezekiel 3:12-15 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a great thunderous voice: “Blessed is the glory of the LORD from His place!” I also heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, and a great thunderous noise. So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me. Then I came to the captives at Tel Abib, who dwelt by the River Chebar; and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.
Ezekiel was in Babylon and he was picked up by a Being of Fire and was taken to Jerusalem.
Ezekiel 8:1-4 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house with the elders of Judah sitting before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell upon me there. Then I looked, and there was a likeness, like the appearance of fire—from the appearance of His waist and downward, fire; and from His waist and upward, like the appearance of brightness, like the color of amber. He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my hair; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the north gate of the inner court, where the seat of the image of jealousy was, which provokes to jealousy. And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision that I saw in the plain.
Ezekiel was lifted up in the Spirit while he was in Babylon and was taken to Jerusalem and told to prophecy a powerful word of restoration over the city, then he was returned to Babylon.
Ezekiel 11:1 Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the East Gate of the LORD’s house, which faces eastward; and there at the door of the gate were twenty-five men, among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people. Ezekiel 11:24-25 Then the Spirit took me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to those in captivity. And the vision that I had seen went up from me. So I spoke to those in captivity of all the things the LORD had shown me.
Ezekiel was carried in the Spirit to the Valley of Dry Bones.
Ezekiel 37:1 The hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.
After Phillip explained to the Ethiopian eunuch about Jesus, they stopped so that the eunuch could be baptize
Acts 8:38-40 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.

Paul speaks of being taken to Heaven.
2 Corinthians 12:2-4 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
John was taken into Heaven and saw many things that were going to happen in the future.
Revelation 4:1-2 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. Revelation 21:9-10 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.
God doesn’t limit us. We limit ourselves every day. We are the only on standing in our way. There is not one reason why you can’t do this yourself. You must believe this because God says that He is not a respecter of anyone.

Romans 2:11 (AMP) For God shows no partiality [undue favor or unfairness; with Him one man is not different from another] (The Amplified Bible).
4 Phases of the Wilderness
I have experienced a few storms in my life in the past forty years or so and I am going to share some of what I have learned while in the wilderness. I have found that the periods of involuntary isolation are usually divided into 4 stages. It can be helpful to identify them, so that we have hope to survive this without losing our minds or our lives.
When a storm comes in the form of adversity or trouble, most of us Christians tend to say; "Why me God? What did I do to deserve this? Why is this happening?" This is exactly what I experienced. I was hurt and lost and I even asked God several times what He wanted from me as I realized that I was going through a major spiritual war. I did not sleep very well during the first part of this storm and all I wanted to do was to make this end somehow. I wanted to run away from everything in my life. If you choose this road then you will just postpone the inevitable and become more miserable. I urge you to "choose life" and to move forward with God. Keep fighting the good spiritual fight.
You must understand that trouble isn't God punishing you and God did not place you into this position to teach you something. What God will do is to take advantage of your situation by trying to teach you how to survive the tribulation and how to grow in Him with His Word, the Bible, if you will just allow Him to. Trouble comes simply because we live in a fallen world filled with chaos and tribulation.
In John 16:33 Jesus says: "In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
The only way that I made it through this storm at all was to trust God and to lean on Him twenty four hours a day by stepping out in Faith and giving all of my worries, cares and concerns to Him each night before I went to sleep.
Psalm 37:3-5 Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.
It takes a while to learn this because we can’t let go that easily and this is so foreign to us. The next thing that I had to do was to get into the Word of God and read the Bible as much as I could every day. This is the only way that you will learn who God truly is. This will give you the knowledge, wisdom and power you need to fight the devil every day and have success.

Lets look at these four stages that are listed below and study what all of the signs are so that we may see what we could expect in the near future.
#1 Stripping and Breaking us
We are typically led into desert times by surprise, or by progressive shocks that gets us deeper and deeper down into what seems like "the valley of the shadow of death". Positions, possessions or securities are usually lost in a way that we never expected, such that shame, anger and confusion are feelings, which are not uncommon at this early stage. There can be various painful means that force us to enter desert times: a severe sickness... the loss of someone or a secure job, or even persecution...
One way that makes it particularly painful and confusing is after we did something righteous, we end up being treated unfairly. For instance we wanted to improve things within our church, our job or our family, and we end up being criticized, misunderstood or even rejected.
#2 Struggling to find God and Ourselves
The second phase determines whether we simply have a life crisis that will eventually pass, or we have entered a desert time. The way to find out is through the following 3 signs:
A) The first one is that after spending enough time to forcefully change our situation, with every possible wisdom and discipline, we eventually realize that we are "stuck". Nothing has really changed, and we have absolutely no perspective of when it will ever finish. We have been put aside, isolated, most people cannot really relate to what is happening to us, and our professional situation is definitively not what we had chosen. Worse, we start to have this nagging feeling that God Himself had a plan to bring us into this dry and isolated place where no one will want to join us (isn't that what deserts are?). As it is written in Matthew 4:1 "the Spirit led Jesus into the desert".
B) The second sign of a desert is that we are being tested in how we see ourselves. For instance, the three times that Jesus was tempted in the desert always had to do with his identity as said in Matthew 4:3,6 "if you are truly the Son of God...". The reason that we go through an identity crisis is that before we entered our desert time, our whole person was tied and shaped by an environment and responsibility; once those have been removed, we have a hard time to know who we are.
C) The third and most evident characteristic that we have entered a desert time is the confusing feeling that God is somehow silent. He does not seem to hear our prayers, and worse, we cannot really recognize His familiar voice. In the worst cases, some Christians start to even battle with the emotions of loneliness, depression and "spiritual negativity". They don't know who they are in Christ. They ask themselves what has God really created me for? Who am I now that no one recognizes me any more for what and who I used to be?
Christians don't understand all of the demonic forces that are influencing and tormenting them. We have had a lifetime of hurt, bitterness, loss, bad relationships, demonic strongholds and attacks. This is a major reason that we can't hear from God or even know what He want's from us. In this stage I use to wake up late at night and grab my Bible. I kept it beside my bed on my night stand. I would start swinging my Bible (the sword of God) all around me because I knew that there were plenty of demonic spirits tormenting me and trying to keep me from growing in Christ and ever getting out of my desert. I started fighting these demons and using my God given authority as Jesus gave to all Christians in Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
This God given authority gave me what I needed to grow in Christ, that would remove the barriers that was hindering my growth in Jesus the Christ. This removed the scales off of my spiritual eyes and the blockage out of my spiritual ears. This was a major step forward for me in the Kingdom of God.
There comes a point when eventually our mourning and bitterness must cease. We can either keep on with the depressive feelings of the second phase, or we can cry out to God (Abba Father) until we find enduring peace and real intimacy with Him. We cannot remove ourselves from the desert, but we can choose our attitude in it. This, in turn, determines how long we will stay in it. For instance, most Israelite's were meant to go through a short time of wilderness after Egypt, but because they chose idolatry, bitterness and unbelief, their desert became a long process of 40 years and most of them never entered the Promised Land. Deserts are not meant to kill us spiritually, but to prepare us for a better stage in life. They cannot be shortened, but our attitude can make them longer. We have to do our part in the desert.
This is when we must choose to seek God with a different attitude. This is the kind of situation where we have absolutely no other choice. Either God is nowhere, or God is here and His word is truth! We desperately need God, and a quick fix through Him will not do it. There is NO EASY BUTTON. However long it may take, we must press on through surrender, prayer, worship, praise, fasting or whatever "breakthrough" that works for us, until we finally start to perceive His voice and find real peace. Now, it is very important that if we are going to seek God, that we seek him with the right motivations. With all of your heart, mind, soul and strength.
#3 Finding Intimacy and Peace with God
During such times God wants us to slow down in our lives. Spend a lot of time in prayer and discover who we really are as we discover who He really is. At this point in our lives, our being matters more than all our doing. God wants to transform the way we see ourselves through Him. He does this by revealing all the prideful and egocentric motivations we had in our "former life", to show us that He does not see us through our jobs, our positions or even through all the people we loved. In the desert, God does not see us as "the prince of Egypt", as "the preferred son of Jacob", or as "the prophet of Israel". He sees us as we really are.
God see's us as dearly beloved children of His, who have a priceless value to Him. The more we understand this paradox of our identity, the deeper we are being transformed. It is precisely because while in the desert we have nothing to show for ourselves that we can understand our true value before God. It is a time when our self-esteem cannot be defined by our accomplishments, and therefore we must find it in our intimacy with God.
Another wrong motivation we have in seeking God may be the fact that we seek more temporal and earthly answers than God Himself. Unconsciously, we seek Him to get back the job, the house, the mate, the ministry or the situation that we have lost. Now, there is nothing wrong with seeking such blessings, but there is always a danger that they become more important than God Himself. We get blessed so much by God that we forget Him and become self-centered and self-deceived. Desert times are meant to bring us back to seek God just for Himself, beyond all that He can give us: the Giver is more important than all His gifts. When a human being has reached the point that God's presence matters more than all other blessings, pleasure and securities in this life, then such a person is truly blessed. This is why Christians who have endured long times of prison with God usually come out with an authority, a peace and a love that cannot be explained in human terms. This is why God allows even his best people to be thrown in prisons. From time to time the reset button of isolation-desert times needs to be pushed, so that we see life through the Giver rather than through His gifts.
The most obvious sign that we are "successfully" going through the third stage is the sense of peace and surrender that characterizes us. If we can genuinely say to God: "however long you want me to stay in that unchangeable situation, I trust you and praise you for this, because your presence matters more than anything else in my life", than peace will certainly rule in our hearts.
Another sign is that we become transparent and humble. We do not have any more to prove ourselves to anyone.
Another encouraging sign is the miraculous favor of God for our physical needs as we learn to supernaturally depend on God. For instance, Jesus was served by the angels and Elijah was fed by the ravens.
Directly related to this is the ability to walk in the supernatural. Joseph became an expert at giving interpretation of dreams, Moses had his burning bush experience and miraculous signs, and Elijah was raising the dead and multiplying flour and oil.
#4 Seeing the Light at the End of the Tunnel
At the beginning of this final stage, God usually gives us some signs in advance that our situation will end, in order to encourage us. It can be a supernatural revelation, a dream or an intuition that shows us that things will take a different turn, or it can be through people or conditions that give us a clear confirmation of what is already in our hearts.
Usually, if we have fully surrendered and not put false hopes in people or circumstances (as we used to do in the early stages of our desert times), then we can recognize God's voice for ourselves. It is very important in this final phase that we keep on with the same attitude of trust and peace that we had in the third stage, by not forcing out the final outcome. Often, when we see the light at the end of the tunnel, we can be tempted to speed up the final process, instead of having the patience to wait on God. He has the perfect timing, and sometimes this final stage of the whole process may take longer than we hoped.
The reason we do not have to speed up things is that desert times usually finish with dramatic turn-around: After 14 years the slave Joseph becomes prime minister overnight; after 40 years the long forgotten Moses suddenly comes back and within days two nations are completely shaken; after 3-4 years Elijah radically revolutionizes everything in one day at Mt Carmel; after 30 years, Jesus, who is not known before, ends up his desert and starts his ministry with a spectacular demonstration of miraculous power. God may keep us a long time in the waiting, but when He moves, it is fast and with power!
Scriptures for Hope
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Psalm 42:1-11 (All) As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say to me, “Where is your God?” 4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast. 5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance. 6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me; Therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan, And from the heights of Hermon, From the Hill Mizar. 7 Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me. 8 The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me — A prayer to the God of my life. 9 I will say to God my Rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?” 10 As with a breaking of my bones, My enemies reproach me, While they say to me all day long, “Where is your God?” 11 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.
Psalm 43:1-5 (All) Vindicate me, O God, And plead my cause against an ungodly nation; Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man! 2 For You are the God of my strength; Why do You cast me off? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 3 Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle. 4 Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God. 5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

Isaiah 43:1-20 But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. 3 For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. 4 Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life. 5 Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west; 6 I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth—7 Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” 8 Bring out the blind people who have eyes, And the deaf who have ears. 9 Let all the nations be gathered together, And let the people be assembled. Who among them can declare this, And show us former things? Let them bring out their witnesses, that they may be justified; Or let them hear and say, “It is truth.” 10 “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. 11 I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior. 12 I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, And there was no foreign god among you; Therefore you are My witnesses,” Says the Lord, “that I am God. 13 Indeed before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?” 14 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “For your sake I will send to Babylon, And bring them all down as fugitives—The Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships. 15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King.” 16 Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters, 17 Who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power (They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick): 18 “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. 20 The beast of the field will honor Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My people, My chosen. 21 This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.
Job 1:8-10 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” 9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

Job 22:21-30 “Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you. 22 Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, And lay up His words in your heart. 23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; You will remove iniquity far from your tents. 24 Then you will lay your gold in the dust, And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks. 25 Yes, the Almighty will be your gold And your precious silver; 26 For then you will have your delight in the Almighty, And lift up your face to God. 27 You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, And you will pay your vows. 28 You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways. 29 When they cast you down, and you say, ‘Exaltation will come!’ Then He will save the humble person. 30 He will even deliver one who is not innocent; Yes, he will be delivered by the purity of your hands.”
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.
Psalm 146:1-10 (AMP) PRAISE THE Lord! (Hallelujah!) Praise the Lord, O my soul! While I live will I praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have any being. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help. When his breath leaves him, he returns to his earth; in that very day his [previous] thoughts, plans, and purposes perish. Happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) is he who has the God of [special revelation to] Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God, Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, Who keeps truth and is faithful forever, Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets free the prisoners, The Lord opens the eyes of the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the [uncompromisingly] righteous (those upright in heart and in right standing with Him). The Lord protects and preserves the strangers and temporary residents, He upholds the fatherless and the widow and sets them upright, but the way of the wicked He makes crooked (turns upside down and brings to ruin). The Lord shall reign forever, even Your God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
Isaiah 53:1 (The first report is not the last report) Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
Jude 1:20-25 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. 24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.
Hearing God's Voice
GOD wants us to hear His voice much more than we want to. He wants this kind of relationship with us.
When I was a young Christian, I heard that some people could hear God’s voice and some on a regular basis. This was very foreign to me and it took me a long period of time for me to realize that God had been talking to me at times. I was the one that did not recognize His voice. I know that he speaks to me everyday and that the sheep need to know the Master’s voice, But I doubted my ability to hear him. I spent all my time “checking” the voice I heard. And when it was too big or too mysterious for me, I thought, “This can’t be God. Besides, the devil can speak to as well. The flesh speaks; lying spirits speak.” A multitude of voices come at us all the time. How can I know God’s voice? Read on!
You must have an unshakable confidence that God wants to speak to you. You have to be fully persuaded and convinced of that. Indeed, he is a speaking God. He wants you to know his voice so you can do his will. What God tells you will never go beyond the boundaries of Scripture. All you need is a heart that says, “I believe God desires to talk to me.” You must have quality time and quietness. You need to be willing to shut yourself in with God and let all other voices hush away. True, God speaks to us. His voice has come only after I have shut out every other voice but his. You must ask in faith. We do not obtain anything from God (including hearing his voice) unless we truly believe that He is able to convey His mind to us, that will enable us to understand his perfect will. When you start hearing from God or suspect that your hearing the voice of God, then make sure that you ask God to send you confirmation of what He is saying to you. God will use people, Television, dreams, visions, the Bible, radio, music and many other ways to confirm things to you for the asking. Just ask God!
In Luke 11:11-12, Jesus said, “What father among you, if his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone; or if he asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion”?

God is not a tease! When God speaks, peace follows! And Satan cannot counterfeit that peace. If you’re in a place of quiet and rest, convinced that God can speak to you, then you have an assurance that never changes. You can go back to God a thousand times and you will receive the same word—because it is truth.

John 10:4-6 (AMP) When he has brought his own sheep outside, he walks on before them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. They will never [on any account] follow a stranger, but will run away from him because they do not know the voice of strangers or recognize their call. Jesus used this parable (illustration) with them, but they did not understand what He was talking about.
John 10:26-28 (AMP) But you do not believe and trust and rely on Me because you do not belong to My fold [you are no sheep of Mine]. The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. [To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed.] And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand.
Jesus Invites All To The Abundant Life
Isaiah 55:1-13 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. 3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—The sure mercies of David. 4 Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people, A leader and commander for the people. 5 Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the Lord your God, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.” 6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. 10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. 12 “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”
Jesus the True Shepherd
John 10:1-30 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.

Jesus the Good Shepherd
7 Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12 But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13 The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. 17 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” 19 Therefore there was a division again among the Jews because of these sayings. 20 And many of them said, “He has a demon and is mad. Why do you listen to Him?” 21 Others said, “These are not the words of one who has a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”

The Shepherd Knows His Sheep
22 Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. 23 And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch. 24 Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” 25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”

Call Your Family Back To Health & To Your Land
Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God
Psalm 91:1-16 (all) He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. 14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

A Perpetual Covenant of Peace
Isaiah 54:1-17 “Sing, O barren, You who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, You who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate Than the children of the married woman,” says the LORD. “ 2 Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. 3 For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited. “ 4 Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. 5 For your Maker is your husband, The LORD of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth. 6 For the LORD has called you Like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Like a youthful wife when you were refused,” Says your God. “ 7 For a mere moment I have forsaken you, But with great mercies I will gather you. 8 With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” Says the LORD, your Redeemer. “ 9 For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; For as I have sworn That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. 10 For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you. “ 11 O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted, Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires. 12 I will make your pinnacles of rubies, Your gates of crystal, And all your walls of precious stones. 13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children. 14 In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you. 15 Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake. “ 16 Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy. 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.
Jeremiah 30:16-18 ‘ Therefore all those who devour you shall be devoured; And all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; Those who plunder you shall become plunder, And all who prey upon you I will make a prey. For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD, ‘ Because they called you an outcast saying: “ This is Zion; No one seeks her.”’ “Thus says the LORD: ‘ Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents, And have mercy on his dwelling places; The city shall be built upon its own mound, And the palace shall remain according to its own plan.
Jeremiah 31:17-18 There is hope in your future, says the LORD, That your children shall come back to their own border. “ I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself: ‘ You have chastised me, and I was chastised, Like an untrained bull; Restore me, and I will return, For You are the LORD my God.
